**Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

This is kinda what I expected to happen at perth too tbh. People just constantly downplay how bad India's batting line-up is for some reason. They are objectively worse than Australia.
I'd like to add that almost all of our home wins in the last 5 years should be credited to our bowling - Bumrah/Ashwin/Jadeja.

There have been so many instances where Axar Patel and Ashwin saved us from a complete batting collapse by scoring quick runs.

Weather looks excellent for India the next 3 days. 40-70% precipitation for most of the hours of test play. Fingers and opposable thumbs crossed

Can't help but think that India need Pujara right now. He used to just drain the petrol from ttheAussie bowlers and ground them into the ground, his strike rate in Australia was 37.37.

In Australia: 21 innings for 993 runs at an average of 47.28, three 100s and five 50s. He averaged a 50+ score every 2.6 innings. He was a major thorn for Australia.

India need a batsman with patience. Why wasn't he picked in the touring team for Australia?

You don't pick old men who can have dinner without watching youtube.

Wonder how well PaulLennon's (and many other's tbf) assessment on India's win in Perth holds up now. Incredible how people weave stories from one-off events while ignoring long term trends. There was talk of how the Indian domestic games teaches batsmen to play longer innings better than their Australian counterparts, which seems comedic now.

Just delaying the inevitable tbh. A sufficiently motivated Aus don't need much more than a session to bowl us out. And what next even if we escape with a draw here?

Gill’s drive was on imho, it was very overpitched, not even that wide so he could have got closer to it and played it under his eyes. You can’t not punish anything at all. He just played it really poorly.

The Kohli one though - just lol. Lmao even.

What a shot to get off the mark. Love this bloke, but this is terrible from Sharma. Bloike has opened the batting for years at test level, his side is 3 fer SFA and he sends in his number one attacking player instead of manning up himself.
