Run rate (just) above 4 - again, really showing the value of just not worrying about scoring rate early on in these conditions because it's so much easier to catch up later.

Getting 98 overs in the day was a pipe dream. Between reviews and replays, India wandering about the field like Brown's cows, Smith holding up the game due to movement somewhere in the general direction of the bowler etc. etc. was never going to happen.

I thought Akash and Siraj were okay today tbh (Akash especially). The bowler who I was really surprised at being so poor was Jadeja; him getting carted around the ground stands out massively as a big difference from the previous few tours when he and Ashwin kept it really tight and put on a lot of pressure.

This just makes me wish it was possible to watch this Test with the QLD Shield commentary team on the call

The dulcet tones of Ray Phillips is really what the world needs

tbf, the conditions are awful for him

He bowled a ball to Smith that would’ve been a regulation slips chance in India but Steve just bunted it back with zero footwork

Wouldn’t have been surprised if Smith had said “not in India now” because he was done completely

Jadeja had some good overs but some were absolute rubbish. I found it hard to conceive of him bowling that badly.

Can we punt MMarsh yet? Guy isn’t even fully fit and has returned to type after his purple patch.
Marsh had his season of overachieving but it's clear he's actually not that good given his overall career numbers so he should be hastily moved on

Did anyone else notice that Akash Deep was listed as Deep earlier in the day on the bowling card but it randomly changed to Akash by the end of the day
