That innings was hilarious from Australia

It’s like the time I was on a date and tripped and almost fell but pretended it was because I needed to tie my shoe lace all along
Tbf sending Mitch Marsh to bat at 2-down was a pretty obvious indication that they were at least trying something. It's not like they collapsed to 5 for **** all then declared pretending it was the plan all along

Ehhhhh I still think that's a little closer to the truth then they'd care to admit tbh

So now that game is over, a reminder that Mitch Marsh is officially the worst top 6 bat to play minimum 35 Tests for Australia (post WW1)

Mitch Marsh - 45 tests, 2079 @ 29.28
Graeme Wood - 59 tests, 3374 @ 31.83
Geoff Marsh - 50 tests, 2854 @ 33.18
Greg Blewett - 46 tests, 2552 @ 34.02
Sean Marsh - 38 tests, 2265 @ 34.31

But his affability adds at least five points to that average.

I am not bothered who misses out but Konstas should play in Sydney

This team is old, batting poorly and needs new blood

I am going to be harsh on Webster and say that he’s too old plus I suspect he’s a number 7 in tests as well & that’s not a priority

Btw, Marnus is still batting poorly as well

I actually think Usman is the first one to go for me. Only thing going against that is not wanting to have 2 completely new openers at the same time

He has an incredible couple of years but he's clearly done now. Wasn't even looking that good in Domestic cricket this year

As unconvincing as Marsh has looked he was still statistically our best bat, easily, in Test crickets for the 12 months before this series

It may not be fair but Marsh was dropped in the majority of those knocks. He's returning to his average output...which is nothing
