Marsh tried by trying to play backfoot drives for six over mid off / cover, missing or inside edging every single one

Khawaja, Marsh, Smith and McSweeney got out normally.

McSweeney absolutely was out flashing at one he normally leaves, but agree the other two looked decidedly normal and very average

Ehhhh I don't think even this India lineup would get bowled out in 21-23 overs. Particularly with some solidity lower down with Jadeja and Reddy even if the top six, er, isn't flash hot right now.

I'm only going to feel annoyed at how this test played out if they stick with Marsh for the rest of the series. Being generous, I can understand if they felt too uncertain about the batting to give up his potential upside, but it's beyond clear now that they need an actual all-rounder. Especially with Carey in way better form than Marsh.
