Haven't watched a ball of cricket this weekend, but things look to be in England's favour at the moment, good to see Harmy seemingly bowling better while Punter just can't stop making runs.

A typical great Gilly innings 2moro can swing this game on its head, but otherwise i reckon England will at least lead by 100 on 1st Innings.

Dunno, Owais Shah? I am sure there is one guy in English domestic structure who can bat an average of more than 20 and field. Because right now, Giles is a batsman who averages 20 and fields a bit. Thats it. So anyone who averages more than 20, and doesn't lose out in the field is an upgrade.

I think we've all got to face up, and admit that Fletcher is too pig-headed to realise that 60,000,000 people hate Giles and love Panesar.

To be fair, for those saying Panesar would have dropped it as well, I agree he would have, but he wouldn't have been fielding in that position if he'd been on the field. He usually fields mid on/mid off.

The hysteria over Panesar being a very, very poor fielder, is pretty much toothless as far as I'm concerned. He has dropped 3 catches (methinks anyway), and made a few t oo many fielding errors, but to leave him out simply because of that is ludicrous.

He shouldn't do it because people want him to, he should do it because it gives them a better chance to win.

Dalrymple is the obvious one for me. His off-spin might be only a bit better than fill-in at test level, but from what I've seen of Gilo in today's highlights he hasn't exactly been ripping it square.

Dunc likes his multi-dimesnional players, so he's a possible if Fletcher survives.

Let the bowlers bowl and the batsmen bat I say, apart from Fred obviously, Duncan obviously doesn't trust the top order to make runs.

Why oh Why is Ashley Giles still doing in the England team, he is a Decent batsman a Poor Spinner and an Average Fielder why Monty is no good at these but Excels at Bowling

Any other test nation would love Monty Panesar

We will draw this test becasue we have fought a good battle and the Aussies now know it will not be plain sailing but the Aussies will still win back the Ashes

He's not even a decent batsman, per say.

He's only decent when judged against a tail end batsman really.

Please god no.

Actually I wouldn't mind Dalrymple - better bat than Giles, not too much worse at bowling either.

Would prefer Supermont, though.
