Did anybody consider Read's black gloves, vs Jones' stump coloured gloves at the selection table? Cost the team maybe two run outs to date! :D

Bloody hell!! Hussey's trying to give everyone in Australia a heart-attack!!

The inclusion of Ashley Giles is ridiculous. He's unlikely to even threaten to take an important wicket so that effectively reduces him to a specialist batsman who bats at #8.
If they're not going to play Panesar, might as well go with Joyce or Mahmood.

Not matter how much they appeal, Giles will not get a wicket.

New ball coming up. Should be exciting.

Might as well go with four bowlers and play an extra batsman, and use Pieterson as the spinner instead of Giles.

I mean neither will take wickets and if England are just using a spinner to give their fast guys a rest....don't even bother with a full time spinner who can bat and field a bit (even though he just dropped the test).

HUGE WICKET BY HOGGARD!

What a bowler! Ponting gone! Can England get two more this session?

And thats just poor show by Ponting, knocking down a chair as he went into the dressing room. I mean, he just played a fantastic innings...does he really need to do that?

Nooooooo! Hussey gone! Thought it had shot through low before I saw the replay and he'd played it on. Game is definitely right on for England now. Hoggard's been bowling really well this spell. Clarke has looked fairly good, but still has a bit of a tendency to hang that bat out outside off stump.

A great pity we lost Ponting when we did - would have been great if he could have lasted until stumps, but it's hard to ask much more of the man.

Oooh another streaky four.

Another wicket tonight and I'll be dancing! Hoggard has been superb again, he did it on the sub-continent as well. Pitch with not much in it, he plugs away and varies things without giving too much away. Quality bowler.

Yeah, Ponting was absolutely filthy on himself for getting out when he did. Can't complain about 150 odd obviously, but if he'd made it to stumps it would have made a huge difference for tomorrow. I don't really think Australia could win the match from here, unless Gilchrist makes a big hundred tomorrow or something.

Draw is the most realistic aim. The pitch doesn't really seem to be deteriorating much in this mild weather so it'll be tough for England to win, but nevertheless this is a very important partnership, as a late wicket or two would change things.
