First session we can claim to have won, need to win the next two though as well.
And a bit. The session score is 4-1 to Aus at present isn't it, with the first two yesterday drawn?

If we're still batting at close of play, we'll probably still be 180 behind, so we'd need to win at least two of tomorrow's sessions as well if the final day is to be close.

In terms of saving the game, I think England need to survive the rest of the day here and then it'd be pretty doable. Follow-on is pretty irrelevant as Clarke won't enforce it, though runs do mean Australia would need to bat longer in the second innings before declaring again. Bat the rest of today and get within 200 odd, Australia will have to bat around two sessions to set a safe target, and then survive day 5.

On the other hand if England are all out today you'd want some rain I think.

I just meant if we don't win the next two we are probably losing. Need to win the next two to have a chance of saving it.

This is where Buttler really needs to prove his worth. Meaningless ODI tons are nothing compared to serious test runs. A 100 partnership here with Cook would be a life-saver.

Johnson looks ready to do some serious damage here. Getting a hint of reverse at good pace. It's so important to England that Cook in particular gets through this spell.
