Knew it was a massive blunder to persist with Harshit Rana for this test. Akashdeep was always gonna be much better than him as he's so consistent with his lines and lengths. A bit Shami like. Yet Gambhir went with this erratic toothless Rana. Australia had already seen him and were never gonna be troubled by him second time around. In fact he was taken to the cleaners in the 2nd innings at Perth too.

Now that this match is gone. Might as well not bowl Bumrah again this match. Let Australia win. Save Bumrah for next test.

Yet most of the Indian fans here wanted to keep him in the side despite knowing he is so inconsistent and leaks runs. Can't even bowl 3 consecutive deliveries in one area.
