**Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, the players are throwing at the stumps while the ball is in play. Batsman needs to get back in his crease and be aware the throw could come any time.
Why are they thrown over the batsmen's head then and why are the batsmen never out of the crease when the throw happens?

@Spark - if you want an example, watch the ODI where Lara got a 100 in the 1999-2000 tri series and watch Ian Chappell call out Michael Bevan and all other Aussie players who did this regularly.

This game. And sorry, this was Sydney, not Melbourne.

No I mean examples of Lyon in Sydney four years ago. That specifically I flat out cannot recall.

And just a year later he decided to do something similar and launch one at a tailender

Starc should be in prison imo. Very angry man. He can share a cell with Stokes.
Yeah, Starc's behaviour in this regard around 2015/16 was not great. IMO it clearly felt like a faux tough guy act to impress the Shane Warne's of the world, but I don't think that excuses it.

Oh lol here's another one.

"The incident for which Starc was reprimanded took place after the bowler, having finished an over, threw the ball towards Dinesh Chandimal at the striker's end, despite the batsman not attempting a run. Starc was found guilty of violating Article 2.1.1, which deals with "conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game"."

I guess he finally got lucky with Ben Stokes who he was obviously trying to maim as well. Dangerous individual imo.

The Chandimal one definitely stands out as particularly bad. Just pegged the ball straight back at him for no discernible reason.

I think Warwick Todd accurately explained away a number of incidents between Australian, WI and SC cricketers back in his tour diary in the early 2000s

That’s pretty poor from Starc tbh. It’s not like a SL batsman is going to be able to defend themselves by actually hitting the thing.
