**Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

India are making mistakes because they remember the horror of 36 and 46 all out . They would have lost even first Test if not for extra batting cushion provided by Reddy . Just accept that we are not a perfect Team and we will have to make some compromise in team composition.
This is a good point actually. As odd as it may seem the difference between 150ao and 110ao is enormous.

A good bowling side can make a comeback if they get dismissed for 150-200 type score in first innings imo.But it is near impossible to make a comeback from sub-100 scores in Test match
This is why I believe quick wickets of Head and Marsh in 1st innings sealed the game for India. These 2 guys can absolutely change the game momentum in 5 overs in a low scoring match .

Yeah I definitely agree. Bumrah's spell was for the ages but teams have won plenty of games from 3/30 before, especially when the other team has already been shot out for 150. But Head and Marsh's dismissals in particular cooked us - and why I was much more bothered by those than the top order dismissals.

Starting to lean towards Akash Deep over Harshit Rana. I think India needs someone who keeps the pressure on with consistent bowling on a pitch that is really expected to help the seamers.

Curator was asked if the match would reach day 4 and he said he can't say and that it depends on if teams bat well, however he expects plenty of wickets. So if the curator can't be sure of match reaching day 4 then you can definitely expect lively conditions especially aided by the pink ball.

I'd stick with Reddy because his knock in the 1st innings proved decisive. An extra seam option is always useful in case someone breaks

I hope they keep Lokesh and Jaiswal opening.

Sundar should retain his spot. Jaddu might be a more proven batter, but Sundar bowls offies which is a good match up to Australia's left handers. Ashwin is a better bowler but a worse bat and fielder.

So it'll just be basically the same as usual for the Adelaide D/N pitch. Most of them have been three day games I think, some barely so.

I think this is why they have chosen Friday to start the Test . Friday to Sunday would ensure good revenue even if Test lasts 3 days

I certainly wasn't happy last year that the Test didn't even make it to Saturday which meant that I didn't get to attend at all

FWIW the pitch for the recent D/N Shield game at Adelaide Oval wasn't excessively lively at all, WA racked up 373 in the first dig, aided by an excellent 139 from Jayden Goodwin (son of Murray, in case anyone wasn't aware by now), South Australia made 253 with Henry Hunt making a ton of his own in response, against an absolutely gun bowling attack too, Bancroft then made a ton to snap his lean run in the 3rd innings in a big WA score but SA (albeit with a little assistance from some inclement weather) held on reasonably comfortably for the draw in the end

That being said though, it was said in comms in that game that the planned Test pitch used a slightly different variety of grass, which may make it a little more lively potentially
