Blundell was dismissed in similar fashion against South Africa IIRC. Barring a couple of quick fifties against tired attacks, he’s looked very muddled with the bat ever since he became first choice keeper.

He's not bad and can definitely bat but one of those guys that thrive vs good pace and bounce. Pretty shaky on the front foot early doors. He bats best when he's consistently putting bat to ball.

Yeah i agree, but he was a completely different (more secure?) player during that period he was opening the batting. Almost seems like he feels he has to play the Watling role with the bat, when he’s not really that sort of player.
