Really how many people in Sydney would really want to see Broncos vs Storm over two Sydney teams, regardless of where they finished last season, or currently are placed this season. Im sure there would be a lot more people upset if the two sydney sides where delayed for two interstate sides.
I reckon anyone in Sydney who isn't a Dog or Tiger fan would prefer to watch the Grand Final rematch.

I think you will find the big factor is Storm. They hardly ever draw a TV viewers even when they play against Sydney side. Most Sydney fans seem to perfer to watch Dogs and Tigers play then Storm.

That's crazy. I don't get why any neutral fan would consider the Dogs Tigers match to be the better game? I'm a Broncos fan, but still, it's obviously the more anticipated match.

Neutral fans wouldn't find it a better match - they just don't care about the Storm, espeically if they're playing the Broncos. My parents are prime examples - my father never watches any matches unless there's a Sydney team involved, and he doesn't even count the Sharks because they went to Super League. It's not really right that happens, but it's actually fairly common, especially among casual viewers (not saying my father is) of the game, and Nine would obviously go for the ratings.

Your dad didn't watch the Grand Final?

I'm not disagreeing, but geez for a team that does so well, what do they have to do to get people to care about them? Probably still blinded that people like Gasnier are the greatest things since sliced bread. If he doesn't count the Sharks, then the Bulldogs and Penrith also don't count then?

Anyways Greg Inglis is playing and Luke O'Donnell has re-signed with North Qld.

And Williams isn't?
He was just trying a bit of sledging out.

I don't think he was saying "Because I Love Williams so much, I hate Anasta." It was more just hating Anasta, than making a comparison between Anasta and another player.
I don't make comparisons, i just don't like him.

I know i sure would prefer to see the GF rematch. Tigers are one of the teams that bore the hell out of me for some reason.

But the fact is that they are not showing the better match

Easily, i don't go for any of the teams playing tonight, but i'd prefer Broncos vs Storm, due to the fact i enjoy watching those teams playing, and it would be better quality.

It's reefer ffs.

Don't think the Broncos played badly enough to lose by the margin they did, it certainly was a much closer game than the score indicated. Ian Lacey is a waste of space at the Broncos, he is shocking. Need to get Berrigan back at dummy-half and (can't believe I'm saying this) Perry back at half. We just look too disjointed. There is no way we should have been tackled on the 5th so many times.

Canterbury count because he hates them - he's a Parra fan. So he likes to see them lose. While the Sharks are just irrelevant to him.. like Brisbane, North Qld etc. Penrith are some strange exception - don't really know why.

And as for Melbourne's performances - it's not that he doesn't think they play well. He just doesn't care. Whether Melbourne win or lose a game against Brisbane is of no concequence to him so he doesn't watch it. There's also the fact that there'd be limited Brisbane and Melbourne fans in Sydney, whereas there are heaps of Canterbury and Wests fans - so they'd get the non-neutral-casuals. It's all about ratings, and Sydney teams rate in Sydney.

Looking at those sides we got no hope, no depth at all. A couple of surprises i guess no Orford or Carney, but both were expected to miss out, with Gildley and Gower preferred. I bit surprised Cooper and Grothe didn't get run, i presume Cooper is a certainity, but i wouldn't have thought Grothe was.

The only spots up for grabs would be halves and maybe back row. Mini would have play pretty crap to miss out at fullback, Stewart might be a chance on the wing. A front rower bench spot might up for graps one would think, i hope King has a good game to put himself infront of White and Douglas.

Cooper is injured supposedlym and Tahu has apparently pulled out.

Bit odd Tahu was ever considered. Barrett was overlooked last year when it became known he was off to Wigan. Tahu's leaving the sport completely.

Articles in the media were saying that he wouldn't be chosen because he was switching codes, but one journalist quoted the selectors as saying "he'd be picked if he called up and said he was keen to play", so the option wasn't totally thrown out.
