Agreeing with Craigos here. IMO players with assualt charges need to be punished a lot harsher than they are at current. Such doodle craniums do NOTHING for the sports image, or for the image of professional sports persons on a whole.

IMO, whilst players are under police investigation, they shouldn't be allowed to play.

Nah pretty much everything I've read in the Telegraph about Gower has been pretty critical. Well, it was during the crap last year. I haven't read a Tele in about 8 months so I guess it could've changed, but I doubt it.

Gower gets a fair bit of crap from the Sydney papers since what happened last season. Most papers are calling for him to get sacked as captained and suspended.

Matt Cooper is out of the St. George v Newcastle match. A big loss for the Dragons, he injured his calf last night in training apparently.

Nick Youngquest is out of the Panthers v Bulldogs game. (****, he was in my VRL team)

Looks like Scotland have another player for next year's World Cup with Newcastle's James McManus being born in Scotland.

Good grinding win by the Knights, the sort of game where you'd expect Johns and Buderus to polish it off, but well done without them.

Steve Clark ruined that game, he really is trying to be like Harrigan now, cant he just let play roll on for a while and see what happens. If i wanted to watch a bunch of crap players drop the ball every two minutes and the ref blow the pea out of the whistle i would have watched the Warratahs...

Manly 10 - Tigers 8 at Half Time, anyone know if Matt Orford played and how Halden and Balin are going?

Just got home from the raiders game, they did ok, need to improve, but theres enough to suggest they have the nucleus of a future good side...

Play like that more often and I don't think they will win the wooden spoon, and if they do, it won't be because of effort. And I would like to know how David Howell got away with elbowing Greg Inglis in the face.

I saw the Manly game, pretty scrappy from the Tigers who didn't play to the conditions but they had a harsh penalty IMO go against them in the 57th minute when Luke Williamson was judged to have been obstrucated by Brett Hodgson, I felt there was nothing in it and it should of been a 20m tap to the Tigers.

Dobson and Carney are potentially one of the best halves pairings in the comp, you can tell the team lacks some experience on the field though...

There both Blues aren't they? We might score win a couple State of Orgin matches in the next decade after all.
