Whatever it takes!!!
Amazing win. Bumrah obviously the hero but Rahul was immense and so was Jaiswal and Virat in the second innings. Good debuts for both debutants, obviously still raw but definite material to work with for both. Siraj returned to some semblance of form at a crucial time. Sundar played his part, and if I am not wrong, has outbowled Lyon again in terms of bowling figures. :p

Definitely consider Akashdeep for Rana and Ashwin for Sundar alongside DDP for Rohit. Will be tempted to get Jaddu in for Jurel as well.

Naah, Jurel is good. Don't think Jadeja is better than at him at this point in his career. Maybe Jadeja for Washi.

I'd give Jurel the gloves and bring in Jadeja for Paddikal tbh.

Series is still very much in the balance. India's batting line up is equally frail and our bowling in Australia is overly reliant on Bumrah bowling out of his mind to take top order wickets. If Bumrah doesn't bowl an ATG spell on Day 1, the game would have looked radically different.
Definitely. Fully expect the wounded Aussies to smash us in Adelaide in the pink ball test. Our bowling attack is so comically reliant on Bumrah, its not funny. :(

Shami is nowhere near match fit btw, forget match fit for such a gruelling challenge as Australia in Australia.

Unless you drop Pant, that still does not open up a spot. And its gonna get even more complicated if Gill turns out to be fit. I am guessing he wont be match fit for Adelaide.

Rohit (c)
Jaiswal
Rahul
Virat
Pant (wk)
Jurel/Jaddu
NKR
Ash
Akash/Rana
Bumrah (vc)
Siraj

Not a bad side. If Gill is fit, he comes in at 3 and Rahul slides down to 6 ahead of Jurel and Jaddu.

Rohit must bat 5. Dont want to lose wicket before 10 overs and expose middle order

Gill comes back. If he doesn't then would give jurel another chance. He has immense temperament and its tossup between ash and jaddu

Honestly my guess is Australia's XI will be something like:

Khawaja
McSweeney
Smith
Head
Inglis
Marsh
Carey(wk)
Cummins(c)
Hazlewood
Boland
Lyon

What I would really prefer is Davies and Morris instead of Inglis and Boland but we seem to be in a period where management has a fixed idea of who the "next best batter/bowler" is. To be fair the kind of Adelaide D/N pitch may suit Boland.

Is Shami in Aus or he has to be flown in?

Not sure you guys show enough love for Siraj. Not the flashiest by any means, but he appears to put in performances regularly enough and will sort out batters with inefficient technique.

Can't drop/rest Starc from a D/N though. He is probably the GOAT with pink ball

Speaking of which, Bumrah with the pink ball under light eww

People confuse his form in India with overseas form.

Averages 37 in India, 26 overseas. Was even good in SA this year.

Australia should just refuse to come out and bat if they have to bat under lights.
