OK sweet, so who comes in? For who?
Cummins and Haze stay. Lyon for now. Starc out for either Richardson, Spencer Johnson, Boland or Bartlett. Fitness is an issue (though I hope I don’t jinx Boland by excepting him from that observation).

They’re all playing atm and I’d go for Jhye for 2 matches, Bartlett at Brisbane and Boland at the G. Though I wonder if Bartlett might be suited to the pink ball so could play him for those tests instead.

lol Finch trying to be diplomatic in his assessment of Labuschagne compared to the evisceration being laid by Lalor.

I am very critical on Starc at times but in the first innings he was great, and while he went for a bit of tap in the second I think he bowled better than the figures suggested and had his bad balls really exposed (something that doesn’t usually happen). Dropping him now screams of change for change sake.

Although, we really can’t pick the same attack for all 5 Tests.

There's a fairly big gap between these two tests but they have to be rotated at some point

Meanwhile, NSW has just started to bat in a shield game. I'd take that top 5 over the Aussie top 5 at the moment (Khawaja can stay)

1. Maddinson
2. Konstas
3. Patterson
4. Davies
5. Philippe

Big hundreds by Konstas and Davies would be nice to put some pressure on the 'undroppables' for the 2nd Test

I worry about what will happen to Marnus if dropped. I don’t know if his psyche will be able to handle that.
He's just been made captain of Qld so going back to captain a shield side might be good for him and just what he needs to fight his way back?
