**Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

Skyliner

State Captain
According to the SMH -

STUMPS: Australia 3-12 chasing 534
‘That couldn’t possibly have gone worse for Australia.
To say they’re on the ropes is underselling it. They’ve already been knocked out. Barring some unprecedented form of cricketing miracle, India will rock up tomorrow and probably have the win officially in the bag before lunch.’

Sack Cummins as captain as obviously his tinkering with the batting order is the problem.

Promoted himself to #8 and then Starc demoted to #9 out-batted him, so he made himself nightwatchman at #3 over Nathan Lyon who has done it forever...

Another case of someone batting well in a recent ODI game getting undeserved test skill credit 😉

Probsbly not since the Windies in the 80s
Some of the days in this series were also pretty one-sided and featured 3 innings defeats. Day 3 in the second test when Pietersen got a double ton England finishing on 620 and Aus 4 down losing Clarke to Pietersen off the last ball being particularly bad but there were a few candidates.

Biggest wins of all time after a 1st innings of 150 or less

They would need to bowl Australia out for less than 190 to claim the record, though it looks fairly likely this will be in the top two if they don't. Quite a few similarities to that 1991 test already showing

We got bowled out for 98 on day 1 of the Boxing Day test in 2010 and the Poms were 157/0 at stumps

McSweeney died so Konstas's front pad could live

Bumrah would have finished him like Manuel Ferrari blasting a silhouette of someone's head on dry wall

worst batting lineup AUS have fielded in a home test series surely? Everyone well out of form. Only one past ATG batter in the XI, and at age 35, will likely retire soon. India on track for 600 on this same deck, have atleast 1 future ATG opening batter and 1 past ATG - in Kohli. Aus lucky to pass 120

Marnus Labs #3 batter has been completely exposed. Average has fallen from mid 60s to 49, hes probably not averaging more than 30 in the past few years.

Renshaw just hit a hundred in a shield match and is playing India in the PM XI on 30th Nov. If he does well there it's time to get a real opener back for Australia (rather than a fabricated opener)
