Obviously part of this is that they're turning down singles but it still doesn't necessarily look easy to score. Very few aggressive shots connecting successfully, all just nudges and nurdles

Yeah I feel with the brittleness of the Indian batting lineup, Pujara or a Pujara-esque batsman would be extremely helpful.
Funnily enough, the guy best placed to do that job is the guy we dropped for Sundar.. Jaddu. No one right now in our side is as good as Pujara in terms of technique but Jaddu has the temperament and usually figures out a way to stay put in most pitches against hostile fast bowling. He kinda sucks at that job in spinning tracks funnily enough but on these tracks, I would probably bet Jaddu will last an hour and let the batsmen at the other end get some runs around him.

Though, tbf, Sundar is very much in that mould as a batsman too.
