The Wheel is Forever
I think it just shows there is still room for that anchor Pujara type batsmen in test line ups. Usually at #3 but really anywhere. A couple of such batsmen in the line up, hopefully spread out with one in the top 3 and one in the middle order can make a huge difference to test sides.
Yeah I feel with the brittleness of the Indian batting lineup, Pujara or a Pujara-esque batsman would be extremely helpful.

I'd argue there's never been a more relevant time to have one

What's making the ball zip up then
There's obviously a bit of juice in it but some good batting would negate it after a while. Although he couldn't execute it, marnus had the right idea of trying to stick it out...he just couldn't hit any singles. Bumrah can't bowl forever

The deck is absolutely fine IMO. Challenging but far from dangerous or unpredictable
And technique wise, and possibly mentality as well, we don't see 1-40 off 20 anymore to open yourself up to score runs in periods like now, when the wicket is playing ok and the ball is older.

We're going to see more huge scores quickly on real flat ones, and scores like this plus India's 46 last month when it isnt

Pujara-esque is hard to find by at least in India. Even if they start resilient, their patience goes out of window after 70-80 balls and end up with awkward 15(70) as such.. Can't blame just the ipl , problem is more deeper
