Good plans & execution from England today. Anyone else think Shane Bond's been an influence in that respect? Was always an intelligent bowler, not just express.
I’m sure he is. Bayliss too. Worked a lot with the Aussie players. Plus, their two senior bowlers are pros and know how to execute the plans

I can't stand watching Smith bat. But credit to him, he's mentally as tough as they come these days. Steve Waugh levels of grit.
To be fair, I honestly don't think any of Smith, Root, Kohli or Williamson are particularly good on the eye. They're certainly not Mark Waugh, Martin Crowe or David Gower in terms of aesthetics, even if they are all ruthlessly efficient run-scoring machines.

Indeed, all well & good having the plans, but it's nothing without execution.
