How about we wait until around the midway point of the season?

If you cost 14m pounds, you must be able to play a bit.

Then again Inter paid that amount to sign Robbie Keane from Coventry, yeah great move that turned out to be.

In the Premiership Cisse and Baros are unproven.

So you're saying that if someone like Zidane or Shevchenko came in you wouldn't expect them to do well?

Cissé has scored a lot of goals in France, and also impressed greatly when playing for France.

Looking like the usual story for Coventry Marc?

I find it amazing that Sheffield Wednesday have the biggest stadium in all of the football league and yet they are stuck in League 1.

Superkingdave what is happening with your New Zealand striker Chris Killen? Is he currently injured at the moment?

Maybe that is why New Zealand doesn't have a good football side when we have only 5 or 6 players playing in England and they are in League 1 and 2. And it was only a few years ago Killen and Danny Hay were part of Mn City and Leeds United respectively.

That is of course football is about 4th popular in New Zealand.

In that they were in the youth sides (and maybe at a push reserves)...

Isn't the Stadium of Light bigger?

yes he is injured again....he's not a fan favorite! He has been injured 90% of the time hes been at Oldham and hasn't looked to hot when he has played. He's got this season to prove himself because he's on a healthy contract (for Oldham) as he was signed during our crazy phase, and he's not going to get another juicy contract any time soon.

He played preseason then got injured the week before the season, not sure how long he is out for, he would have started the season in the side had he not got injured

Why does Heskey keep getting picked?
This sounds like what people were saying about Ashley Giles not so long ago, and look at what people are saying about him now.(But I do agree that Heskey shouldn't be in the squad)

I see how you can equate the leg theory with the fall on the floor every time the ball comes near antics of Heskey :)

Don't insult Sheringham, i've never seen any indication from Forlans performance that suggest he is 'in the sherigham mould' he's just a forward who hasn't performed.
Sheringham was a great player, but he was a forward - he didn't score goals so much, he set them up more, a bit like Forlan.

There's a difference between a striker and a forward.
