An unnamed player gets caught with cocaine in his system in two different drug tests... banned for 6 months... nothing hypocritical there tho with braindead Rio getting 8 months for missing a test.
Certainly no hypocracy, failing to take a test is worse than failing one

because druggies would just not take tests if it was the other way round
Not sure. They're about the same morally speaking, I'd say.

I'm all for a strict-liability, one or two year blanket ban (what matters that the ban is uniform & non-discretional) for all miscreants.

Otherwise you get the "my mum gave it to me cos I'm such a lardo" excuses coming out. It still irks me he only got a year when Graham Wagg, who at least admitted his culpability, got 15 months.

Erm, a bit silly to point this out - and if they're your local side, why not support them?
I follow them, and go to see them occasionally, but they're not my main side - Chelmsford, Southend and ofcourse United come first.

Yes, but since they play in a pub league, it's not the same as one with a proper stadium.

That said I have been down a few times.

Billericay play in front of crowds of in double-figures occasionally. They're having a very decent season this one though.

I'd rather go and see Southend, tbh. United about once a season.

If you get shorter bans for missing tests than for failing them, then players who knew they had taken drugs would miss tests on purpose and take the shorter bans.

And Rushden are so going down it's not even funny (well, it is, teach you to buy your way up the leagues). No win in twelve...

Interesting day in the Premiership, Norwich 4-1 down and draw 4-4, Palace win 3-0, CHelsea march on and United win despite a hiccup. MOtD will be interesting tonight

Lowest: 264 v Harrow Borough

Ah that would explain why the footballer before Rio who missed a test got a fine and didn't miss a game. Also Rio could easily have taken the test an hour later than he was supposed to, it wasn't test avoidance it was merely Rio stupidity.

Oh, it was avoidance, the whole web of lies made up to try and get out of it aren't just someone who "forgot"
