Right-centre back then, it doesn't make much difference because he's barely touched the ball this game.

He still doesn't have anywhere near the influence on a game as someone like Terry, who makes more clearances etc. and actually does something with the ball other than pass it sideways 5 yards and gets in the box to get crucial goals (or block opponents off so someone else gets them).

It's like having a county cricket side with Flintoff in, who has so much influence on a game and then comparing him with Simon Jones.

and goals ? the job of a defender is not to score goals, scoring goals does not make you an influential defender.
