Lance Klusener is one of the if not the best ODI all rounder of all time

An explosive lower order batsman
A useful bowler
An extraordinary fielder
Generally a great record for a lower middle order bat, averaging 44 @100(especially in the 90s), plus an average of 28ish as a bowler for majority of his career is pretty amazing. The fielding just adds to it. SA’s 3rd best ODI cricketer(behind ABD and Pollock)

As a batter probably Hussey’s better but feel with Klusener’s bowling(very good for majority of his career), he is a lock in the XI
Yeah, the bowling attack is weaker, but it comes down to what you value in terms of balance and how highly you rate the 5th bowler options. Can Jayasuriya, Viv, and Tendulkar cover 10 (maximum 15) overs? I think they can, considering the other bowlers are GOAT tier and wouldn't need help covering their quota.

Another option would be Symonds at 6, Dhoni at 7 and Symonds then adds to the bowling.

With Symonds, Viv, and AB it would be an elite fielding side.

I have Rohit instead of Jaya, so probably in that team, Klusener fits better

Great team , but if you pick Ponting he has to be a No.3 , that's where he made his name for 90% of his career .
