The word from the papers is that Eric Watson offered to Price that he would help him get involved in some kind of management in Rugby League once he retired.
Eric Watson has a hell of a lot more power & money than the Bulldogs would have been able to persuade him with.

Lyon is still contracted to Parramatta. He has only been released to play for another team as long as it is not for an NRL team. I heard Vossy talking about it on the Sunday Footy Show, and he said something along the lines of - Parramatta may release Lyon because to free up money under the salary cap. But then, I could be wrong - I was hungover.

no its a definate possibility, Lyon is going to be released at the end of the season if he decides not to come back to parra. he then will have the option of playing for anoyone he likes, but as it stands now he is a parramatta player till the end of 2005.

why dont the warriors do something about this season, mathematically making the finals isnt gone, and 4 weeks ago they had seem to have given up despite being only 6 points outside the 8 with 12 games to go.

and no need to get smart lord, ur team is a dud, last and a couple of new signings wont see you win the premiership....

how the hell can a team go from 2 years in the top 3 to bottom last & be dud? the management got arrogant & made some appalling decisions at the end of last year & now they're paying the price.
Mick Watson & whoever else thought that they could bring in a whole load of NZ youth players & expect to continue the winning ways...but as shown by other teams you need plenty of experience to win a premiership.

Price & Wiki may not necessarily win them a premiership but they'll hopefully make up for the lack of mental toughness in the forwards this season.

i dunno how they became a dud team, but they are, even when they were a premiership force they had defensive worries, this yearthey have lost the attack edge and have paid heavily for it. i mean how 2 weeks in a row warriors games were around 20-10, 2 years ago warriors games would never be like that, close to 30-20....

Apparently Tallis wont run around next year, it will be sad to see him go, hopefully he can get the fairytale ending and go out with a premiership.
Wayne Bennett has confirmed even if tallis plays next year Darren Lockyer will be handed the captaincy, interesting decision....

i actually dont mind monty, the problem is the rest of the nuffies like the anderson boys, meli, brent webb (the biggest goose in the nrl), gorrillasanti hasnt put in since he played for australia and the list goes on.....

The backline has been crap because the forwards have not made any decent yardage this season. Jones has constantly been forced to kick at his own 40 because the forward's are barely getting the Warriors out of their own half.

I definately agree with the Warriors that they HAD to get some better forwards & they've now down that..but i'd also prefer they went & signed a decent fullback aswell.
I heard David Peachey might be in-line but I don't know why the hell they'd want Peachey who's just as bad as Webb at the moment.
