Both foward pass calls for Meli's tries were fair enough calls imo, then Monty Betham had yet another brain explosion to cost Byrne his try. The warriors were luck they came up against a very poor team tonight, they were lucky to get out of it...
I agree the Goosters were poor and I love it. They are horrible at the moment.
The problems I had with Mander's performance - 1) The two tries Meli had disallowed. If in your opinion you thought they were both forward passes then that's fine but I thought the first one was very marginal. I will watch it again on the Sunday footy show before making a final judgement though. The second one was ruled a knock on from jerome ropati as it touched his hands before going to Meli. This was also very marginal and you see stuff like that get let go every weekend in general play.
2) The Brett Finch try which came as a result of Mander ruling six again when the ball was tapped back by Amos Roberts.
3) The Todd Byrne no try. Where is the consistancy? Last week Paramatta were given a try when a simiar inccident occured. I actually felt that it was the right call but the lack of consistancy is a joke.
That is 4 tries that the Goosters got the rub of the green on.
4) The Goosters slowing down the warriors play the ball speed all night and then when the Warriors tried similar tactics they got penalised straight away.. Although this happens every week to the Goosters oppenents.
Also that offside penalty Mander gave against the Warriors was jsut mind boggling.
Sure I am biased because I hate the Goosters with a passion but they were getting all the calls going their way which makes it an even more satisfying win.
Come on Broncoman do you actually think Mander and his touchie had good games?
