explain?
Both foward pass calls for Meli's tries were fair enough calls imo, then Monty Betham had yet another brain explosion to cost Byrne his try. The warriors were luck they came up against a very poor team tonight, they were lucky to get out of it...

I agree the Goosters were poor and I love it. They are horrible at the moment.

The problems I had with Mander's performance - 1) The two tries Meli had disallowed. If in your opinion you thought they were both forward passes then that's fine but I thought the first one was very marginal. I will watch it again on the Sunday footy show before making a final judgement though. The second one was ruled a knock on from jerome ropati as it touched his hands before going to Meli. This was also very marginal and you see stuff like that get let go every weekend in general play.

2) The Brett Finch try which came as a result of Mander ruling six again when the ball was tapped back by Amos Roberts.

3) The Todd Byrne no try. Where is the consistancy? Last week Paramatta were given a try when a simiar inccident occured. I actually felt that it was the right call but the lack of consistancy is a joke.

That is 4 tries that the Goosters got the rub of the green on.

4) The Goosters slowing down the warriors play the ball speed all night and then when the Warriors tried similar tactics they got penalised straight away.. Although this happens every week to the Goosters oppenents.

Also that offside penalty Mander gave against the Warriors was jsut mind boggling.

Sure I am biased because I hate the Goosters with a passion but they were getting all the calls going their way which makes it an even more satisfying win.

Come on Broncoman do you actually think Mander and his touchie had good games?

no i dont think they had great games in general, but personally i dont think they made any mistakes that lead to tries to either side...

You are in a minority then.. which is fair enough if that's the way you saw it.

Big game today with the Broncos looking for revenge up against the Storm

its too soon since his injury, id very surprised if the dragons risked him, if it was a life and death situation i suspect he would play but i dont think he will line up tomorrow...
Hornby at half-back for Dragons ...

Well my boys have really taken a big step.. With the bye this week we have jumped into 7th spot...

With games against Souths, Sharks, Raiders and Cowboys in the next 4 weeks we really are looking good for a top 8 spot and if we keep going the way we are and with alot of the top 8 playing each other we could even jump into the top 4.. Not bad considering many "EXPERTS" tipped us for the spoon....

GO YOU TIGERS!!!!!

Blewy please, tigers are still nothing, next year they will come maybe 6th, this year whatever they achieve is a bonus imo...

Simon, i expected that response from you.. These boys are starting to show what they can do.. They WILL make the semis this year, and TBH im quite confident that we can make the top 4...

The only certs for the Top 4 are the Broncos.. The rest are totally up for grabs... and i would say aside from the Broncos the Tigers are the form team of the comp....

I'd say The Eels are fairly nailed on too (unless Tim Smith gets injured), notwithstanding the blip against The Raiders. They've still got a bye up their sleeves & play The Knights this week. Aside from them tho it's pretty much anyone's.

If I had to pick the 4 tho I'd go Broncos, Eels, Storm & Dragons. Cronulla might yet make it, they coulda turned the corner with the extra-time win over Newcastle & still have to play them & The Bunnies again. Merritt did well on his return. They have been playing toilet lately tho.

Great thing about the NRL this year is that only really Newcastle, Souths & Penrith are outta it. That's good strength in depth for any comp to have.

I think the race for the Wooden spoon is far more interesting than minor premiers. I hope to God that Newcastle get it, it would be sweet justice and couldn't happen to a better team.

I think from memory the last time we beat Canberra (in Canberra) Moses was parting seas. With the Knights next week and the bye the week after it should be enough to see us to the second spot.

But this is one of the best seasons in years with all the teams around the 20-22 points mark.

Oh and the Knights will be getting the spoon in the mail this week after Souths win on the weekend.

haha i thought that too, but the way Newcastle fans acted a few years ago when they won the comp they really deserve this to happen, along with the roosters fans they are the scum of the nrl...

consistentcy mate, i expect tigers will win a couple more games before the end of the season but they have a young team and when the going gets tough i expect will lose a game or two they should win. They may well scrape into the 8, but i cant see them finishing highr than 7th ot 8th and brisbane, parramatta and the cowboys or storm will do them in with ease...

I disagree.. I rate the tigers. I think they will do well in the next 8 weeks or so

Take your pick. The Roosters and The Knights have to be the two most hated sides in the competition, now that Manly aren't winning and everyone has pitty rather than hate for Souths now.
