I personally feel Cricket is definitely a better sport than Football if promoted properly! Wat say friends?

I don't see why we can't have 6 nations with one day status, just means 4 will play at the world cup, hope this doesn't change.

Well after the initial proposal was put forward supported by all the full members, this was always going to happen, but that does not stop it being an idiotic decision. One that panders to the $$$ of a couple of nations at the expense of nations that could well provide those $$ in the future. How to stunt a game's growth by the ICC.

For my part, I will watch the WC until the last Associate is out and then the rest of the competition can get stuffed. I will not even be bothered with the Champs League.

The idea or Karma originated in India - I hope it bites them on the backside and they get knocked out anyway..

Walusimbi names squads for Afripals

Kenyan Non-repreentative side the Afriplas are back in Uganda for two ODIs and a T20 game over the Easter weekend. Jimmy Kamande is the captain this time around and whilst Thomas Odoyo and Steve Tikolo miss out, there are a afir few young talents going on the trip which is good.

Oh, and a scoop today. The Norwegian squad for WCL Division Five has been announced.

Majid Zia Butt (cpt), Nation
Shahid Ahmed (vc), Nord
Abdul Hadi, Nation
Abdul Hameed Shaheen, Nation
Abdul Jabbar Ghani, Oslo
Adil Qazi, Star
Ehtesham-ul-Haq, City
Mubashar Ahmed Bhatti, Sinsen
Muhammad Shahbaz Butt, Sentrum
Muhammad Zeeshan Ali (wk if ruddy desperate), Sentrum
Nadeem Qureshi, Sinsen
Sameer Sachdev, Sentrum
Saqib Qayyum, Lions
Syed Munawar Ahmed (wk), Sinsen
Waseem Gill, Nation
Zaheer Ashiq, Sentrum
Zeeshan Siddiqui, Nation
Aameer Waheed, Oslo

Bit less ethnically spread than at the EC a year and a half ago, when a couple of Tamils got in. Norway have also secured the services of Ole "Stan" Mortensen as "reserve coach" (whatever that may mean - apparently not assistant, they're not supposed to have those!) to Ralph Dellor, Norway's v successful coach in the past few years.

Norway are likely to fight with USA for second spot in the group. The Nepalese quickies could have tricky to handle on Jersey pitches, I fear.
I'm up for a run in exchange for a residency visa...I'll even change my name to Wilsson!

1st 20-20 ended in a one run win to Uganda - it is great to see this becoming a regular tour. Not only does it give the Ugandans good competition, it is also a perfect way to bring through the youngsters for Kenya.

Regional bias has me tipping Rwanda to be the dark horse there.
