Yes it is Peter Sleep

The batting record is one to be proud of
He was the leader in English first class batting averages for the season 1992 with an average of 182 , scoring all those runs in his only innings for the World XI against Pakistan.

Spot on and it could have been a remarkable hat trick had a declaration not come when he was 79* in his only first class innings the following year

Twice I scored over 150 runs and took five or more wickets in an innings in the same match. In fact, I took my first five wicket haul in first class cricket before I scored my first century and yet no one ever thinks of me as an all rounder !

Who am I ?

If he played before 1963, was he an amateur?

If you're not sure - did he represent Oxford or Cambridge university?
