OK Since it seems we are slightly getting struck, I will give hint early ! :) :)

Hint 1 - It was at a barren period in Australian Cricket History !! (of which there were not many) ;) ;) (Barren periods usually occur when several players retire or are lost to the game and the team goes into transition)
