Good to see that this thread is still running. One crooked question and I will be off again :

Do the numbers 74, 107, 117, 100*, 111 & 70 have any particular significance wrt that record ?

Was the English player that did it actually born in England - that should narrow it down by about 50%.

I've been asleep for a very long time.

Only 6 players have acheived this feat in the history of the game. Name the players and the feat.

Q1: Is it batting feat? Yes
Q2: Test batting feat? Yes
Q3: Can it be achieved in a single Test match? Yes
Q4: A ton in their 100th Test Match? No
Q5: An achievment to be proud of? Not necessarily. Nothing to be ashamed of either.
Q6: Is it to do with captaincy? No
Q7: Is it to do with age? No
Q8: Are all of the six players still alive? No. Five of them are alive.
Q9: Anything to do with their test match debut? No
Q10: Is it anything to do with the highest test batting score? No

(Hint #1 : The first player to achieve this feat was an Indian.)

Q11: Does it have anything to do with batting with only one eye? No
Q12: Can it be achieved in a single innings? None players have done this in one inning.
Q13: Was it first achieved prior to 1960? Not prior to, no - but it was first achieved in 1960.
Q14: Was it first achieved in a test in India? Yes - in Kolkata
Q15: Is it having the highest and lowest score in a test? No

(Hint #2: The latest player to achieve this feat was English, and he did it in 2006)

Q16: Is the English cricketer Kevin Pietersen? No
Q17: Do the numbers 74, 107, 117, 100*, 111 & 70 have any particular significance wrt that record ? Yes - although I think you may have gotten one of those numbers wrong. Nevertheless, you are on the right path.
Q18: Was the English player that did it actually born in England? Yes
Q19: Anything to do with the amount of time spent at the crease? Yes - technically
Q20: Is it to do with players born outisde hte country they play for? No

(Hint #3: No hint needed, as Tapioca seems to have figured it out)

Burpey, SJS, JASON & him more or less kept the trivia threads going before Arch turned up.

I'm only guessing but I wonder if his absence is connected with this thread's long hiatus? SJS & JASON haven't been about so much either.

I hardly ever come here, because compared to you lot, my knowledge is fairly rubbish, however I know 10 fold to what my peers do.

Anything to do with having to retire and then returning?
No.

Well this is getting long and drawn out, so I'll give you more than a hint. The scores Tapioca posted in Q17 are the highest scores in an inning of the batsmen who achieved this feat. I mean highest scores in the match they achieved this feat in, btw. Now taking that in to account and the fact that the first player to achieve this did so in Kolkata in 1960, what do you come up with? (Look up the scorecards on Cricinfo)

Next Q :

As far as I know, there are six Test cricketers who belong to this list (to be specific : who have this in common) and two ODI cricketers (incl one who is present in both the Test and ODI list). Some hints for some of them.

Player 1 appeared in Tests in the 1920s.
Player 2 played Tests in the 1950s
Player 3 appeared in a World Cup but appeared only in ODIs.
Player 4 appeared in both Tests and ODIs in the 1990s

The other three names are comparitively obscure.

Who are these four and what connects them ?

PS : I am not sure whether there only seven international cricketers who belong to this group, but even if there are more, they should be even more obscure.
