I would be surprised if this hasn't been asked before.

Kidnapper - Daaktar Grace, with help from his wicket keeper Jack Board

Kidnapee(!) - Billy Midwinter

County - Gloucs

Country - Oztralia

Tragic death - Midwinter lost his child and wife in the space of a year, then went mad and died in an asylum

Record - Playing for Eng v Aus and vice versa.

Three Test cricketers share a certain 'perfect' record among those who have played more than one Test.. One is from the 19th cent, one from the mid-20th century, and the third from fairly recent times. The first guy is a very obscure name, the second one is slightly better known mainly because of his association with a cricketing feat.

They have all played very few Test matches - it would be nearly impossible to maintain the record if you play more than a few matches.

What is the record & name atleast one of the cricketers.

Hornby(19th century)-England
Barber (1930's)-England
Bruce Murray (late 60's early 70's)-NewZealand

The only three test crciketers to have played more than one test and taken at least one test wicket without conceding a single test run.

Hornby bowled 7 overs , all maidens for 1 wicket.
Murray, one over which was a maiden for 1 wicket and
Barber just two balls for 1 wicket

This meets the criteria (the period is not exactly so since the criteria is not very specific for two) but it may not be the answer you are looking for. :)

Is it a bowling record ?

Is the first one to achieve it English ?

Is the cricketing feat the second one is associated with a bowling feat ?

Is it a feat achieved in test matches?

6. Did the first player, play all of his Tests in Australia?

7. Does 'perfect' mean zero/never/none ?

No. Something more abstract

Early hint : The 'perfect' thing here is a team thing.

Is it to do with the match results, like all matches a player played in were won/lost/drawn ?
