The record was achieved under contrived circumstances as Notts the opponents were helping leicester to make a delaration.
And so the bowling Team bowled lots of full tosses and likes to help the fast scoring.

For this reason - Inman's record is not credited as such !!

Just Kidding. Of course you know what it is.

Inman , after taking a single of Brian Bolus's last ball (first of Inman's innings) hit Hill for 440064 and 466664 in the next twelve balls getting his hundred in 13 balls and 8 minutes. A record achieved due to the bowling side intentional bowling long hops to encourage an early declaration.

The most amazing part of this dubious record is that there were two dot balls in Hill's first over.
