Still no takers? Ok, time for a recap & another hint.

The game concerned resulted in a thumping 283 run victory for one of the contesting teams, but is more notable for a unique occurrence in the annals of cricket. What was this unique occurrence?

Q1) Was the occurence a 'first'? Yes
Q2) Was it in an ODI ? No
Q3) Was it a Test Match ? No
Q4) Was it a FC Match ? No
Q5) this happened in England ??? No
Q6) Did it involve Oxford or Cambridge University ? (or colleges within them) No
Q7) Did it take place in the 20th Century? Yes
Q8) Did it occur in Australia? No
Q9) Was it an OD match? Yes
Q10) Did it occur after 1980? No
Q11) Is it to do with forfeighting/underperforming? No (not strictly speaking, although you're thinking along the right lines :) )

1st Hint: The unique occurrence concerns something the captain of one of the contesting sides did.

2nd Hint: The game in which this occurred was a South African List A One Day game.

Did it occur during the period in which South Africa where they were excluded from the test arena?

EDIT: Was it the match between Natal and a South Africa African XI where Natal declared on 361-2, this being the unique occurence?

Yes! Huzzah & horrah! :D

AJS Smith, the Natal captain declared their innings on 361-2 after 54.4 overs of a 60 over match. The South Africa African XI were then bowled out for 78. This is the only declaration in a List A One Day fixture. Scorecard:

I am the only person to achieve both of these very similar feats, however some would say that I do not fully deserve either ofthem. One of them is slightly better than the other, but both have been bettered by 2 people. Who am I and what are my achievemnts?

JASON

Were they achieved in Test and ODI respectively ?

Were they achievements that a person would be proud of ?

Am I from the subcontinent ?

Q5.Are they debut records? no

Q6.Are they test records? no

Q7. Is he english? yes

Just to clarify as I may have been a little unclear. He is not the only person to achieved each individual feat, he is the only person who has achieved both of them.

Has a weaker opposition have to do with people saying the feats are not fully deserved?

Are they batting records?

JASON

Are they First Class records ?

And only if no to the above consider this question below-

Are they list A limited over records ?
