Despite the umpteen number of clues that were given, you guys had to be eased towards the answer !!
the biggest problem was that he NEVER led New Zealand. There havent been that many New Zealand captains and I went through every one of them and found no trace of any of them having played for Scotland. thats what threw me totally off !!
PS. It takes some time to take each New Zealand captain and then run a check through Scotland cricketers
