Name an overrated and an underrated cricketer

Another thing Sachin had was that he was often dropped because he hit the ball so hard that the fielder couldn't hold on even though they got their hands to it. No other batsman had this because no-one else hit it as hard.
Now you're just spinning yarns.

Jimmy trapped him with the in ducker a few times as well.
I haven't seen the Eng v India internationals so I'm specking Virat can't see Anderson's inswinger and makes his outswinger even more effective. Anderson is a special bowler and in one respect is better than Waqar, imo, bcos his variations are more unpredictable. I think you could tell which way Waqar was going to move the ball during a spell.

After consulting with some scientists at NASA i figured out that the trick is an out swinger at good length.
Threatening the pads with an outswinger? Hmmm ... ok. Never mind: NASA had some epic fails too.

Lol what?if that was the point you are trying to make from the above post then you are speaking elvish buddy.
Or common sense and hence your difficulty comprehending.

Look; we've had trouble getting Kohli out for a meaningful score. I'm curious as to how England, and especially Anderson does it. I can guess why but don't know for sure. 91Jmay responds with a post that confirms what I'm guessing. (The problem Anderson poses wont necessarily be reflected in lbw dismissals). You post a patronising response telling me it aint rocket science - Jimmy has an outswinger. Well duh ... thanks scoop.

You seem to impress yourself. Maybe I'm wrong for not feeling the self love you generate. But there seems to be a disconnect between how funny you think are and me "getting it". You remind me of a skit I once saw: A group of advertising execs were having a meeting. 3 of them from memory. (3 - Just like you brah and TNT coincidentally). They were bee bopping and jazzin' ideas all over the place. Really impressed with themselves. The tea lady who was pouring the drinks had to dodge out of the way from all the fist pumpin', chainsaws and high fives.

Then they re ran the skit from the tea lady's pov. All the execs were leaning back in their seats with their clenched fists doing a furious lap dance. Like I said maybe I don't get how brilliant you are but I view your posts from the tea lady's pov.

If common sense equals to mind reading.. lets take a look at the conversation again

Kohli is both fun and despairing to watch for this fan at least. He's a combo of SRT's consistency and in style as exciting as VVS. I wonder what trick Anderson has that seems the only answer to him?
This post gives me the impression that you think James Anderson has some kind of a mythical weapon which is Virat Kohli's Kryptonite but you are struggling to figure it out

After consulting with some scientists at NASA i figured out that the trick is an out swinger at good length.
Here is me telling you (as anyone who watched some cricket in the English summer of 2014 would) that it was predominantly the out swinger that gets him edging g to the keeper, slips

Threatening the pads with an outswinger? Hmmm ... ok. Never mind: NASA had some epic fails too.
Dunno about the others but this post gives me the impression that you think Anderson's main mode of dismissing Kohli is trapping him in front thus (non directly) disagreeing with my earlier post that suggested the out swinger was Anderson's main weapon against Virat since its relatively difficult to get a LBW with the out swinger

Yes so many lbws

not that you can't threaten the pads with out swingers either
me telling its not the case and the edge due to out swinger is indeed the main mode of dismissal

The point being the threat of the in swinger makes his out swinger more dangerous, Einstein.
You can view me from tea lady's POV or who ever the **** you want but if this is the point you are trying to make to me with the above conversations you had with me..Not that what you are saying is wrong any idiot could actually see that having both in and out swingers in your repertoire would make anyone very dangerous but there are better ways of conveying it by like i don't know may be actually saying it in the online conversation you had with me

Smith the ODI batsman is just fine..maybe not as good as the Test batsman but still pretty good.

Smith the T20 batsman is a different story though..kind of like the Australian team in general.
There's More than one Smith in World Cricket you know!!!!! :ranting:

(You know all I expected was a discussion about andersons methods and kohlis vulnerability to them. Instead ...)

Um yeah. Brilliant points well made. Sir must be thirsty after that exhausting forensic analysis. Would you care for another cup of tea?

We are talking about the best one here
In that case I think Graeme Smith's inexplicable inability to get South Africa to win Limited over tournaments, kinda dampens his ODI record compared to his reputation as a test opener and batsman, which is kinda the opposite of how the World sees the Aussie test team
