Not Terrible
Usually keep it with an element of realism but what you want, but theres hardly a cricket ground in the world lower than 2 or higher than 9.

I guess I'll do it at some stage for the sim but I think first I might put up a voting thread for each of the teams.

Not a bad selection in Fleming for the final one of the draft - in fact before selecting McCullum I had Fleming down as my choice.

Everyone's chosen now so I decided to come up with a side of players not yet picked but with the same criteria (made Australia the country with three players to allow the side to be of reasonable strength).

Test XI Rejects
Alistair Cook
Taufeeq Umar
Ashwell Prince
Michael Clarke (c)
Damien Martyn
Tillakaratne Dilshan (wk)
Grant Flower
Dion Nash
Zaheer Khan
Jermaine Lawson
Stuart MacGill

And then the rejects of the rejects (with no criteria): Herschelle Gibbs, Michael Slater, Daryll Cullinan, Mark Waugh, Simon Katich, Hashan Tillakaratne (c,wk), Jacob Oram, Jason Gillespie, Stuart Clark, Mushtaq Ahmed, Makhaya Ntini.

Cricketer Of The Year
ODI XI Rejects
Saeed Anwar
Shane Watson
Gautam Gambhir
Michael Clarke
Hansie Cronje (c)
Russel Arnold
Alec Stewart (wk)
Brad Hogg
Daniel Vettori
Thomas Odoyo
Ian Bradshaw

And the rejects of the rejects for the ODI side: Salman Butt, Aamir Sohail, Herschelle Gibbs, Boeta Dippenaar, Damien Martyn, Brad Haddin (c,wk), Irfan Pathan, Mitchell Johnson, Jason Gillespie, Lasith Malinga, Fanie de Villiers

On a slow track the rejects ODI side could be useful, with two left-arm spinners and quick bowlers who rely on accuracy over pace. And throw in part-timers Clarke and Arnold, so we'd certainly be preparing a ridiculously slow pitch. The test reject side is decent too, with a strong middle order and a bowling unit that could prove costly at times but there'd be no shortage of effort from the likes of Nash and Zaheer.

If in the future 9 teams will be used, I would be in favour of adding a 9th option of people who debuted before the period but played a match within the period, with everyone getting a selection from this category as well.
