My top 20 allrounders of all-time

And what makes you say that, i agree Ricky is not a natural leader like an Imran Khan or Steve Waugh but his captaincy record is seriously good, enough has been said about the fact even a baboon can lead the Australian side but the fact of the matter remains the same that an Australian side was looking like a bunch of no-hopers in C-H series without Ricky but then Ricky led from the front in the WC and led Aussies to a convincing WC title defence.IMO captain should be man who should set an example for his team and lead by example and in that criteria i would certainly rate Ricky as one of the best captains of all time.
I can discuss this but I think that's a different topic for some other thread and besides, Ricky is still playing.

These are the top 10 based on my criteria:

1.Imran Khan
2.Keith Miller
3.Ian Botham
4.Garry Sobers
5.Kapil Dev
6.Shaun Pollock
7.Chris Cairns
8.Tony Greig
9.Jaques Kallis
10.Richard Hadlee

Rolleyes for what?
After this particular thread has been dormant for three months you decide to revive it, for no real purpose other than to create another all-rounder argument. Quite frankly I'm getting sick of it. I do appreciate you included Sobers though, and appear to have come to your senses.

Wouldn't it have been more annoying if I had started a new thread just to tell that Sobers is now there?

Nice to see Sobers rising in the ranks, Lillee as well recently. Say what you want about BS but he does admit when he's wrong and he's more than ready to concede a point when necessary.

I reckon if the'd been born in test playing countries and got to show their abilities on the test arena then RTD and TM Odoyo would have been considerations

Possibly, but claiming that Sobers wasn't an allrounder and that Lillee was a contender for the Worst XI Test cricketers between 1965-85 was hardly an argument of great strength.

Those are merely cosmetic aimed at saving himself from being ridiculed and I say this because he continues to argue on the same lines .
