In theory there could be potential members on the board who want a say in the future of the game they want to join...

As a board member, I'd tend to take strong notice of the general view held by all managers.
In real life, referendums are held to guide politicians in making decisions. It's called democracy. Politicians who ignore the popular view are on dangerous ground.

I think if some of you are doubting the results, Blewy should ask for a e-mail from everyone saying yes or no... that way we could get an excate number from all the managers etc

I have to say that it must be very hard for a non WCC member to decide on a feature that they wouldn't have a great deal of experiance on, espically when the last trade period was about 6 months ago and I know people haven't been waitting 6 months.

But they don't have to have been involved to follow it all.

what would happen if this was implemented:

the top teams would simply trade amongst one another, so teams e.g. Colts, WP, Karna, Mumbai etc would end up simply trading largley amongst themselves because they would be the only teams with good enough players to retain a place in another team.

I have voted no and will not be supporting this at board level. Rich's points are quite valid. Trading is fun for most and it would decrease the amount of trading done. Also the draft is the measure that has done most to even up the sides. Just look at the performances of Mumbai and Queensland this season.

I have read all the posts and have not been swayed by Marc's argument.

I probably wont be trading much this season anyway (no one wants to trade with me *sniff*)but i dont think this is a good idea because of all the low quality players that may be gotten. and then must be kept which we have to keep anyway in the last half of the draft.
i vote no just cause i dont like it. boo

Oh yeah i just found it funny, i mean if people were supporting the idea i would have thought they would have backed it up a little, so far its just you who is 100% behind this and then Myself and Rich who are split down the middle...

LOL mate, you forgot me, i posted 3rd after marc fully supporting the idea..

Well people you gotta realize.. Lord hasnt EVER agreed with marc, and when you know Lord agrees with Marc somethings happening and the whole world is actually round..

As it is said by everyone it is marc only who is for this rule and others arent as no one has spoken in marc's favour. So it is simple drop this.It is that sort of thing which should not even considered in the board meeting as we can see the majority of the board members also r against it.It will be a waste of time if this issue is discussed in the board meeting.

Mate your point isint clear At all..

Who said the majority of the board is against it?

Rich is almost with it , = Vice Ceo of WCC
G.b is almost with it = CEO of Wcc
Marc is with it = Member of the board.
im sure if they get another person that is a majority..

I think the idea shouldnt be dropped and kept under discussion , reality would be a good thing to bring into this game and ofcourse , people have to get used to it, and then if you still dont enjoy wcc .. ? whos saying where the exit isint located? because i wouldnt mind seeing a wcc with 12 or 14 teams

GB is with the majority and the majority is against the rule so i suppose GB is against it.

And Rich hasnt favoured it also.No post of his has totally supported the rule.

Rich and Blewy are both sitting on the fence letting discussions take their course i believe. if you want their opinions atm you should ask them.

apart from reality what is the good part from this idea for WCC?
