Sobers and Lillee overrated??????? What's with all the Sobers bashing recently? He is probably the 2nd greatest cricketer of all time. And Lillee?..like there are heaps of green-tops in Australia.

The longer it goes since Sobers's time, the more cricket fans will think he is over-rated - simply based on the fact that they haven't actually seen him play and he has an ordinary bowling record. I fell into the trap myself originally and raised the same questions many are recently (it was about two years ago IIRC) before I actually did some reading and researched the situation properly.

Good on you Prince. Please do the same J.B.B.Lewis and all others who have been berating the great man on this forum recently. The guy played like he was born with a cricket bat in one hand and a ball in the other

ANd I say again, Sehwag still did very decently against Mcgrath and Warne over 5 tests something that SMith, Gayle, Trescothick and Jaysuriya have failed to do

He's undoubtedly the greatest cricketer ever IMO, but that doesn't mean it's impossible for him to be overrated.
