because he was apparently involved in match fixing and claimed a bump ball catch against Bangladesh.
Thats totally wierd !

That catch was the only blemmish in his career, as for match fixing , he WASN'T involve in it, he was the one who exposed everyone (like Malik) and had to play a big price and was kept out of the team for speaking the truth.

Is G. Chappell hated for just one indiscretion? Like, obviously it was a horrendous one, but did he do much else to ignite dislike from other countries?

International Coach
Ian Healy - couldn't cop this bloke when he was playing. Even his batting stance annoyed the hell out of me.

Robert "No Balls" Kennedy

Not just talking about the indiscretion in his delivery stride.
His brief flirtation with fame (or in the case of NZ cricket in the mid-1990s, notoriety) meant he came back to Dunedin club cricket and even indoor cricket as one of the most arrogant people arouond. Not one pleasant thing to like about the man.

Definately Graeme Smith. Why does he open his mouth! Not too keen on Geoff Boycott either. What about Tony Greig?

No, you have made a series of sweeping generalisations that despite a number of denials, you continue to adhere to.

Where have I heard that line before?
OK - maybe I didn't write exactly what I meant. I never intended to pass comment on the 1950s and 1960s English-South African relationships because I know little or nothing about them.
I do about the 1990s and 2000s, and that was what I intend on "adhering to".

Michael Vaughan is undeniably extremely sly - and extremely clever in the way he manipulates the press and public perception of his team - especially the "team ethic" bit.

Oh, what a surprise... Pakistanis, Englishmen, Australians... and a match-fixer who brought shame on his country.
You wouldn't be Indian, by any chance, would you... oh, that name kinda gave it away... 8-)

Horrendous or not, it can quite fairly be described as understandible for mine.

Why Bracken?
Too much of a pretty-boy.
And goes on too much about liking bowling with Lee. We'll be hearing of their engagement any time soon.
Good ODI bowler and everything - but I can see why people might dislike him.
