Moral Victories

SA vs Aus WTC.

Either way the match goes the loser could claim a moral victory.
Not winning the farcical WTC is a far nobler thing. In fact, deliberately slowing your over rate to secure penalties that prevent you from participating in the final is the only moral action any respectable captain should do. Each WTC point deducted is a moral point gained making England the clear moral victors in both this and the last WTCs.

What if they wouldn't have made the final regardless of penalties

The covid affected India-England test series which stopped at 2-1 with India leading and dominating. Later, a one-off test with different personnel gets attached to it and series ends 2-2.

It is 2-1 India and a test series win in England for me.
Yeah, all piss taking aside, this was a genuinely bad outcome.

Nah, it was India who decided to **** off, you can't just do that when you're winning and call it a series victory (although, it might be the best way for Australia to win an Ashes series in England).
Yeah and I was literally about to leave the house to head to OT when they decided to abandon ship FFS

Unfortunately I have to agree. It was all for the IPL too. Shameful.

I think England winning the rescheduled game was actually a genuine example of a moral and real victory. Or maybe a morally deserved defeat for India.
