He's taken 14 wickets in 6 games while going at 7 an over BTW.
I have seen each and every wicket. He's plundered on minnows. Large majority of them are soft wickets especially towards the end with the game already in the bag.

Whenever the game has been on, he has been expensive and not really taken impactful wickets either.

India had played Ireland, USA, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan before today. These teams are not known for their batting. And India played 3 matches in New York where par score was 110 runs. Just to put things in perspective.

Meanwhile Axar and Kuldeep have bowled much better than him this WC. So he's not been in India's top 3 bowlers.

Jadeja only bowled 1 over today and been only bowling 2 overs per match otherwise.

Dropping Jadeja for Jaiswal is the perfect solution.

Bumrah 4 ov
Kuldeep 4 ov
Axar 4 ov
Arshdeep 4 ov
Pandya + Dube 4 ov

Yeah you don't need the 6th bowler to be any better than Dube level. Unless you can't read if it's a seamer's pitch or spinner's.

I can see Butler taking apart Jadeja in 1-2 overs he is gonna bowl. Axar is doing the same job much better than him and he's a better hitter too. There's no need for 2 of the same kind of bowlers. It's overkill and waste of a spot.

India always like to waste one spot. That's part of the plan. Remember when they kept playing Shardul in 50 over games and gave him just 2-3 overs?
