Match #51- Australia vs India - Super Eights, Gros Islet, St Lucia, June 24 - Group 1

Make or break day with following scenario:

India win - India in semi-final, Australia out unless BAN beat AFG whereby NRR decides

Australia win - best NRR of India or Aus is through. 2nd best NRR is through if BAN beat AFG, otherwise down to NRR

Washout - India in, Aus in if BAN beat AFG, Aus out if AFG beat BAN

Hoping sanity prevails and Starc comes back in. I think I'd also roll the dice on Green in for David (I'd love Inglis for Wade but not going to happen)

I'm really surprised Cam Green hasn't been picked ahead of David.

He's a better bat than David, and obviously also bowls if required.

Plus he's an absolutely brilliant fielder.
David has done well as a finisher leading up to the world cup. Green hasn't really proved as a t20 player for Aus and if he plays, it has to be as a top order player as he is not very good at slogging at the end for some reason despite possessing so much power

Well I was trying to find a positive vibe by researching last results...turns out India have won 7 of last 10 T20s vs Australia and won 6 of last 7 😞

Commentators going over the top as usual, calling it a virtual QF is a bit disingenuous - going to take some bizarre results for India not to top this group.
