Wow, not bad at all. I wouldn't take too much from the margin, in truth it was Darren and some other spirited performances that kept us in the game, and I think the AA side weren't playing at full capacity due to the practice status of the match and that they are gearing up for a quick, one day International Series with Ireland :p

Conceding 28 goals? Ouch. Scoring 17? Very nicely done.

I was very happy with the performance of our side, considering how many stars our young players, some on their first games, had to contest with. Our team has shown we can get points on the board fairly easily, but it works both ways. Once our defence gets some experience and Deja Moo gets his old form back, we could be a real threat. Despite eventually losing by 10 goals, I feel that performance could only help with our game this Saturday against the Lions.

I feel I underperformed a bit guys, sorry for letting the team down. We did show a lot of heart out there today, though, and hopefully we can improve for next match.

man, all our stuff from our shipment (that's a 40 foot container!) came in today, have spent a lot of it unpacking. i guess it's good that all our stuff is finally here, but it's still a real female dog having to unpack it all.

AA vs TF, 2nd quarter

West continued on from his white hot first quarter and racked up another 10 disposals and another goal. Providing some run out of TF backline the was little known back flanker King Ponting, who managed an impressive 7 disposals and 2 inside 50s. Pavlich, who was against superb, combined with Jon Brown, and two comprehensively skinned the TF defence alive. Pavlich often caught Ed off his man, taking 4 marks and kicking another 3 goals, Jon Brown giving Deja Moo a headache as he kicked 2 goals and took several marks. Blackman was again a solid contributor, racking up 6 possessions, a goal and 2 marks. Stedman was impressive on his debut, getting 5 touches which were all executed effectively. Up forward, Murphy was again unstoppable, kicking 2 goals and taking 4 marks. Dauth found some of the ball, getting a goal for the quarter and three marks. Andy was prolific in the air for TF, taking 2 sensational marks, which no doubt inspired his team, kicking 1 goal. Some inaccurate kicking from TF may prove costly, kicking 5 behinds which should have been goals.

Half time
AA - 15-3-93
(Goals: Pavlich 6, Brown 3, Tredrea, West 2, Cox, Williams)
TF - 9-5-59
(Goals: Murphy 5, Blackman, Linda, Dauth, Cameron)

Pleased with my second quarter performance........... Just need to string 4 quarters together tho...

Look guys, theres alot of positives to come out of the match. Just remember, it was a practice match and there are more positves than negatives to take out of the game. Lets have a big night on the training track and get ready to play the Lions.
