DrWolverine

U19 Cricketer
Shoaib Akhtar had a great run at that time(2002-2007)

Shoaib
27 Tests
123 wickets
Avg of 21.13
SR of 37
10 5-Fer
2 10WP

McGrath :
44 Tests
190 wickets.
Avg of 21.15
SR of 5
7 5-Fer
0 10WPM

P.S : Not saying Shoaib was greater. Just saying he had a great run at that time. Underrated at times

I will admit that I haven't read most of the above, however.

I'm not comparing Hadlee to everyone. Specifically one Glenn McGrath who had distinctly unhelpful pitches in an era where he was the only standout.

Now lowering Hadlee's legacy in any way, I have him 3rd all time.
But I am glad you have adopted my argument. Hadlee just does have a higher proportion in NZ, Eng and Aus than may tilt his record.

Johan

International 12th Man
Why?

Much better batsman, much better fielder, much better between the wickets, and offers passable spin which is in short supply for NZ.
Kapil makes about the same amount of runs down the order (28.5 vs 29.2 per inning) but happens to be far superior as a bowler and a master pacer on slow wickets.

something you're gonna need considering Jamieson doesn't have a great record in Asia and Cowie hasn't played there.
