Kyear isn't necessarily wrong. If a political party win an election, that doesn't mean people who voted for the nearest losers are automatically incorrect.
Again, I don't think there's anything wrong with not rating him as an ATG. But I do think you downgrade him a bit too much.

On eye test, limitations in both disciplines are very clear to see.
Kapil was actually a better batsman than his numbers would suggest. Good technique against pace and spin. Clean straight hitter.

Workload management meant he batted lower in the order than his abilities warranted. Like Botham, he wasn't bothered about averages or getting out.

Well, I think I have said plenty much everything I have said, if you disagree fair. But well, the poll results do works in his favour all I can say, massively so.
Are you honestly going to go with that?

Let's take the non vested parties from both sides and do a count.

Let's just for the save of curiosity take a look at the neutral observers in the poll.

Tbh I haven't voted in either poll. I don't give players certain tags as much as the average regular poster on here and AR v specialist is tough. Although yes, I don't rate Kapil as highly as you do and I've given my reasons why a few times over in this discussion.

I think he fulfilled himself with the ball. Perhaps not with the bat, but that is quite natural for players with his scoring tempo.

Feels like people sometimes seem to forget how good Pakistan were outside of Imran in the 80’s. Their bowling wasn’t the greatest outside of Imran, but their batting was pretty darn good.
other than his debut series, Kapil averages 27.7 with the ball against them, which is very good considering they were roads both ways

Wasim played for half of Kapil's career, and Waqar for a decent portion too, which included just about his entire peak.

If you want, sure do that. Among the ones who haven't voted, only Baz expressed his opinion explicitly.
