Tbh, I'm pretty firm now that the three great all rounders of all time, a step above the others are Sobers, Imran and Kallis. In no particular order... You could seriously make a genuinely powerful case for any of them

No, OS! There are five on that list: Sobers, Imran, Kallis, Miller, Botham. A good argument can be made for all of them. You are turning a massive blind eye if you ignore the other two.

Not ignoring them at all, and I wouldn't really begrudge anyone who ranked miller and Botham on par... There are reasons to do so.

But Gatorade tells me the greatest cricketers ever are yet to play the game.
Little known fact that Bradman used to smash the powerades down. Never told O'Reilly or Fingleton about them til after they retired though.

After reading through this thread I'm reminded of this great quote:

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Abraham Lincoln
So I'm remaining silent.

Rough way to end. But he took it for the team. He's been a liability to the side and they've had to keep out one of their best limited over bats in du Plessis to accommodate Kallis. Good decision by a good player.

Sad the big man is gone from cricket.
Quite sad he hadnt left at the top of his game.
Excited about the opportunity to follow South African team in the post-Kallis post-Smith era.

He should've done the opposite and retired from limited forms and played on in Tests.. but I guess the lure of the WC.
