I asked the question in the NZ/SL thread but no-one answered!!...imo if a guy like Narine is getting questioned despite not even bowling the doosra then this lad has no chance.

You were, actually.

Depends on if Sri Lanka tactically withdraw him before his next game IMO.
His elbow is dead straight through delivery tbh. Puts a lot of wristwork on the ball but seems clean to me.
They also analysed his action during the coverage. His hand is in front of the elbow when he delivers. Would have to go through and specifically look at footage of him bowling the doosra to see what he's like there but didn't pick it up at the time.

Just looks kinda dodgy because of his action and wristyness.

Even from the still pics his action looks fine. Twists his shoulder a bit and uses his wrist; makes it look dodgy but is probably alright.

It's the deterioration that needs to be guarded against. So his action should be checked now so it can be monitored for change.

yes no harm in our board monitoring his action as he is new to the top level game so we need to ensure that he is legal...

Yeah the Sri Lanka board should voluntarily test him now, still young so even if slightly over he has plenty of time to sort it out.

Too right I have an issue with chuckers. It's cheat plain and simple and everything should be done to stop it.

Yeah but it makes a mockery of things when you're constantly claiming that bowlers who don't chuck are chuckers and it's all a massive cheating chucker conspiracy thing.

Hafeez averages 16 degrees and 50% of his deliveries are legal and other 50% is illegal. Now shall we see with a panel of umpires / arm chair fans presented with them and their slowmos and decide what is dodgy and what is not?

Then compare for internal consistency.

Flawed action vs blatant chucking

I think we have to be very careful when deciding whether a player has a flawed action or is blatantly chucking.

Flawed action
There are bowlers who have flawed actions i.e every single delivery of theirs is a chuck. Kane Williamson is a good example of this. All his deliveries looked like chucks and so they turned out to be when he was tested

Blatant chucking
Many bowlers have totally legitimate actions and when tested in a lab will show up as being within the tolerances. However when a bowler is striving for extra pace, bounce, spin, the doosra etc, they may consciously or otherwise chucking the ball. When watching such a bowler you can see their action change for different deliveries and it is obvious they are throwing the ball. Dion Nash has admitted to chucking as he got tired in games:

A review of Dion Nash's cricketing career

The bowlers who blatantly chuck the ball are the hardest to police.

Flawed posting or blatant trolling?
I'm not a troll. I can't see what it is about this post which can be construed as trolling. Chucking is my pet peeve. I have posted a clear and concise argument. If you have something to contribute please do so otherwise you are the one who is a troll.
