Jay Shah, England, India, and Australia in talks to kill test cricket

Yeah currently we're heading towards national boards essentially paying for the development of franchise players.

Finn Allen would have had a fair bit of raw cash poured into him by NZC and the investment will seemingly only pay off for everyone but NZC. There are likely more successful examples but he's the first who springs to mind.

I think national boards should consider multi year contracts and bonds.
England do this last part, right?

It's been shown that contracts in sport mean very little, unfortunately. CDG gave one back after he got a BBL contract and Boult did, too. And Gup, from memory?

Should have to pay back NZC for his development costs

Nah Kane didn’t decline a contract, he’s just such a great guy he thought he’d save NZC some $$$ and play for match fees only.
