Missing Gayle was absolute hilarious. Mathews might gor for a plenty.

Muralitharan has an Indian wife. So any one could argue that he can be an uncapped player for India and play him as a local.

Well certainly - the employer is Indian, the player is an employee for work performed in India. It'll be more than 20% is my guess.

Some countries have agreements that makes sure you don't get double taxed e.g, you don't pay taxes to the Indian government as well as Australia. I'm not sure what the deal is between all the cricket playing countries.
Well that's what I thought ,will foreign players get taxed at both ends, home and India.

I believe the tax rate for the income bracket we're talking about is ~33%.

Yea, that depends if the country in question have bilateral agreement with India, I believe. Although I'm not a tax lawyer so I could be wrong here.

However, they will certainly be taxed in India either way.

Otherwise, they may want to keep that money in India.

Don't know how it works our with relaxations and all,i think the tax they have to pay is 15 to 18 % ,i read somewhere IIRC.
Yea, that's possible with all the deductions, etc. I know the top individual tax rate is 30%, with a 7.5% surcharge on the tax, making it around ~32%ish for the top individuals. However, as with any country, the code is complicated and I'm sure there are lots of deductions, etc.

Kolkatta wants to make Ganguly a " mentor " like Kumble is for Bangalore if he does not get picked by another team.

They are hesitant to play him anymore.
